Ive been reading quite a bit of blog posts and articles about Directx 11 and I was amazed at how many people are bashing it saying that there is no difference between DX11 and DX 10. These people are INSANE!
I have written a few posts on Directx 11 myself but I really wanted to get some pictures up on a separate post (you can find these pictures on my Directx 11 Screenshots post as well) that show you the huge difference between the older and the newer API.

Conclusions
As you can see from the pictures there is a huge difference between Directx 11 and Directx 10. Simply look at how everything “pops”out in DX 11. Those spikes coming out of the dragon look sooo sweet! DX10 can’t even come close in comparison to how much detail and texture DX11 can produce.
Hands down there is no doubt that DX11 makes a huge improvement upon this API and we will be seeing some pretty sweet games coming out soon.
What Direct Version Do I Have?
If you are not sure which version of directx you are running you can check out my post: Check DirectX Version On Windows 7 (it works on all Operating Systems, don’t worry). But remember, just because you have DirectX 11 installed, it doesn’t mean that you will be taking advantage of it. It will depend on your graphics card and on the games you play.
